SW6 House

A transformative kitchen renovation that redefined the heart of an existing family home through intelligent planning and elevated materiality. Working within the original extension footprint, Amy Drean Interiors focused on maximising functionality while enhancing character and longevity.

The layout supports modern family life and entertaining with ease. A generous central island provides preparation space, storage, and informal seating, while practical features—including dual integrated dishwashers, a drinks cooler drawer, pull-out pantry storage, and fully integrated appliances—ensure the kitchen performs effortlessly day to day.

Material choices balance softness with contrast. Bespoke shaker-style cabinetry in a muted blush tone brings warmth and individuality, complemented by full-height joinery for a calm, architectural backdrop. Black stone worktops ground the palette, while a gloss finish and bold black-and-white checkerboard stone floor introduce lightness and timeless graphic rhythm.

Layered lighting enhances both function and atmosphere, combining sculptural pendants, recessed ceiling lighting, and discreet task illumination. Brushed brass hardware and a multi-functional Quooker tap add a refined, jewellery-like finish, unifying the space.

The result is a kitchen that feels confident and considered—highly functional yet elegant—demonstrating how thoughtful design within an existing footprint can elevate everyday living.
